Karl has over 30 years of growth, turn-around transactional and operational experience, with a focus on the financial services and information technology sectors.
He’s successfully grown the start-up business units of multinational organizations and led turn-arounds for Sharp Electronics Canada, E-supplies.com and Credit Acceptance Corporation in Canada and the United Kingdom.
He supported the growth of Danka Business Systems (now Konica Minolta) from a $9 million startup to over $150 million in annual revenues, employing 750 and strategically acquiring 37 companies in the process. At Banque Laurentienne, Karl created, pioneered and implemented the first (pre internet) online instant credit, lending and leasing fintech platform that drove the organization’s growth from $5 million to $384 million in 4 years.
Previously, Karl founded Publish West Inc. and Westport Leasing Corporation before taking on the leadership of Crelogix, where he transformed a 30-year-old traditional specialty finance company from a $4 million business unit of the Travelers Financial Group to a national digital platform that processed over $3 billion of credit applications through thousands of merchants.
Karl is a mentor to business school graduates and young entrepreneurs for Simon Fraser University, Futurpreneur and newly immigrated business executives for MOSAIC.
Karl has served in advisor, officer and director roles for numerous trade associations, public and private companies and their Canadian and foreign subsidiaries.

Karl is a seasoned executive with the entrepreneurial ability to originate, structure and execute complex transactions in both public and private markets. He's successfully raised hundreds of millions in capital from sophisticated institutional investors and enjoys advising entrepreneurs on their strategies and capital needs.
Derral brings 39 years of experience in the banking industry.
During his tenure with the Bank of Montreal, Mr. Moriyama held a number of senior positions in Commercial and Corporate Banking, Natural Resource Account Management, Risk Management and Retail Banking. His move to Vancouver saw him overseeing Commercial Banking for the Province of British Columbia and Business Development for Western Canada. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice-President, Business Banking responsible for strategic development and sales and service for the Canadian small business and mid-market sector, including diversified industries, agriculture, succession planning and industry programs for the Canadian market.
Derral holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and completed the Executive Development Programs at the Banff School of Management and the Kellogg School of Business in Chicago.
He sits on numerous boards and committees in the Vancouver Region including Chair of Canadian Forces Liaison Council Pacific Region, Finance Chair and board member of the British Columbia Arts Council, Past Chair of Northstar Trade Finance, RCMP Commanding Officer’s Diversity Council, Joint Task Force Pacific Civilian Diversity Council (CAF), Founding member and Treasurer of the British Columbia. Football Hall of Fame, Past-Chair (and current director) of The Vancouver Aquarium and Knight of the Order of St John. Previous board positions include Co-Chair of the First West Theatre Capital Campaign for The Arts Club Theatre and Bard on The Beach, National Nikkei Society, Arts Club Theatre Board, Chairman’s Advisory Committee for the 2011 and 2014 Grey Cups, The Vancouver Foundation and the New Car Dealers Association of British Columbia.

Jack has over 35 years of experience in the financial services sector.
He has successfully built and expanded major multinational public companies and consistently achieved and surpassed annual sales origination targets in excess of $400 million.
As President of CLE Leasing, he successfully expanded the Quebec-based Credit-Bail Cle across Canada while increasing annual origination volumes by over 400% and establishing a subsidiary office with over 45 employees. His expertise allowed CLE to enter new markets such as Transportation, Broker Originations, Manufacturing and mid to large ticket transactions. He structured the purchase and sale of various leasing portfolios and led the Mergers and Acquisitions activity across the organization. Jack spearheaded a key partnership with Hitachi which led to Hitachi acquiring CLE 2 years later.

Michael has over 3 decades of senior executive experience in the financial services sector.
During much of that time, he has led the Treasury, Securitization, Banking, Accounting, Finance, Analytics, Enterprise Risk Information Technology, Infrastructure, and Real Estate functions for Travelers Financial, Travelers Acceptance, Crelogix Portfolio Services, Crelogix Acceptance and Crelogix Credit Group.
In addition to supporting the team at the Shaughnessy Group Michael consults regularly with Entrepreneurs and senior executives on projects requiring a fractional or interim executive.
